Small, good looking design

Doesn't work

My TV only had 2 HDMI ports so I was hoping this would allow me to plug in my BlueRay player and PC HDMI display. When all is connected, the switch's LED flashes and you cannot select  which port to connect and it doesn't display anything. When I just have the Sony BlueRay player plugged in it shows the video for a few seconds and then auto switches to the next port. It would not stay on the select  port, thus it is not usable. Be prepared to try and return product as it may not work with your equipment. Highly disappointed with IOGear's quality to make a simple product.

Small Has a Remote Doesn't need a power plug Cost 3 Ports

Doesn't come with a Power Plug if you did need it (Have to order one) Out Port is on the side No power on or off button so lights stay on, even when all HDMI devices are off.

I was looking for a cheap HDMI Switch for my TV in my room. My TV 19" TV only has one HDMI port. So I was always unplugging the set top box when wanting to use the Blu-ray player or Apple TV. This fixes the issue, and even has a remote for switching. Only cons to this device so far, is that I can't power it off so I got to sleep with this thing lights shining at me. It has a power port if needed but doesn't come with the plug, it has to be bought. And the out port for going to the TV is on the side instead of the back. Which makes it un-neat.

-Small footprint -remote

-Hdmi output on the side..?

It does what it should Works well with PS3, Wii U, PC with HDMI extender over Cat6 I give it 4 stars just because of the HDMI output is on the side of this box. I dont understand why they did this, it's messing up clean cable management setup.

Small unit, doesn't need a power adapter hooked up but has a jack for it if needed. Looks to be well made.

Passed signal from PS4 for for about 5 minutes then lost signal and would regain it; repeats and time gap gets shorter until unit can't stay on long enough to pass signal at all.

Leds on front for input indicator, flash about 1 per sec. trying to regain signal. At first I had a PS3 and 4 hooked into the inputs. After reading about similar problems other people have had, just ran the 4 thru it, nothing else hooked up. Sure enough, it started doing it again. Would neither buy again nor recommend to anyone else. Btw, adding power adapter did not help.

Small No external power supply needed Very simple IR remote Can use 3rd party universal remote Small button if remote is lost

Expensive for how simple it is

This is surprisingly small, with a fair amount of inputs (3). It does not require an external power adapter, even though a power port is installed. An HDMI source provides enough power to activate it. I don't know if my Nikon 1 camera with its miniHDMI port will, but my WD TV Live sure does. Edit: My Nikon 1 camera powers it fine from its miniHDMI cable. That's off the camera's battery - impressive. Its function is very simple - it's just a switch. The handy IR remote reflects this - it has 3 port buttons and 2 port up/port down buttons. My Logitech Harmony One was able to take over this remote largely without issue, though there's a lag. If you should ever lose the remote or if you don't want to keep it around, there's a small button on the switch which will switch ports. The audio and video going through this switch are not degraded at all, as expected. I'm very pleased with it and I'm even more pleased that I got this on sale.

- Does what it's supposed to do at a reasonable (sale) price. - My Harmony remote is able to control it.

- None that have affected me.

Giving it 4 stars only because I have nothing to compare it to. However, as stated in the "Pros" section, it does what it's supposed to at a reasonable price. And my Harmony remote can control it - IIRC, the Harmony database had an entry for it (i.e. it did not have to learn the codes). Would definitely recommend.
