Pros
Purchased this BENQ monitor last week: BenQ GW2765HT 27in IPS WQHD Monitor 2560X1440 4ms HDMI DVI VGA DP Speakers Pivot HAS VESA NCIX made it easy to purchase and the shipping was included. After the credit card payment was verified it only took 2 days before it arrived. Unit was exactly as promised and once set up it is performing perfectly!

Cons
The cables supplied with the unit were of no use as I have a Mac computer. The instructions supplied by BENQ for set up of the monitor were also very poor.

Summary

I am very happy with the purchase of this monitor. I made my decision based on previous reviews and a friend's recommendation. I also bought the optional Express Coverage (CAD $24.50) for Zero Dead Pixels guarantee. Shipping was included and fast (within BC)! I had to buy a new cable for my Mac, Thunderbolt to HDMI. The manual included was very unhelpful. But all it takes is playing with the buttons on the side of the unit to get to the menu where you can change monitor input and other options.

Pros
Great colour reproduction; 1440p

Cons
None for the price

Summary

Extremely happy with this 27" IPS LED panel overall. No dead pixels on mine. Perfect if you need the real estate for photo editing, CAD, IDE development, big Excel spreadsheets, or simply writing term papers with Word & browser pages side by side. I had a decent 6 year old 22" Dell 1080p LCD that served me well. However, jumping up to this BenQ is an amazing step up. I don't game on my PC anymore so I mainly got this 1440p for the extra (78% more pixels) real estate for both work & personal uses. It is connected to my junk desktop (my old 8800GT drives it just fine btw) but I also Remote Desktop to my work laptop at 2560x1440. With this new 1440p setup I don't bother with screen extensions (1080p laptop + 1080p LCD) on my laptop anymore.

Pros
- IPS panel - Good and easy to work with stand - DP cable included - Easy to use settings menu - Barely any heat coming out from monitor - Good price (on special) - Fairly good calibration out of the box...

Cons
- ...but default brightness is set way to high (100%) - Bezel could have been a little thinner - DP cable is short - 60hz

Summary

Bought this to replace a 1200p TN monitor. Been hearing about how superior IPS panels were compared to TN panels for a while now and decided to get this monitor while it was on special. Out of the box the monitor was fairly well calibrated, but for some reason the brightness is set to 100% which is way too bright. I brought it down to around 20% just to give you an idea of how bright this screen is out of the box. Colors are awesome, far superior than my old TN based monitor. I can seriously say that this monitor renders shades of colors that I've never seen before on my previous monitor. Image quality wise, this is a huge upgrade for anyone using a "budget" TN based monitor. The bump in resolution is also another big plus. I personally think that 27" at 1440p is the "new" sweet spot. I primarily bought this monitor for gaming. Although it is not a "gaming" monitor, I haven't really noticed and ghosting nor lag whatsoever. From reviews I've been reading, it might not be to best suited monitor for fast paced gaming but in my case I'm mostly an rpg gamer and barely play any first person shooters so I don't think I would benefit as much from faster monitors. Overall very pleased with the monitor, especially for the price (on special).

Pros
Bright Great Color Reproduction through IPS panel Stand is very adjustable and sturdy NO DEAD PIXELS

Cons
Cables supplied were too short for me

Summary

My only con isn't a big one and doesn't even concern the monitor, but they are very short cables, and I had to find something wrong with this near perfect monitor somewhere. It looks great though. A bit difficult for my 770 to push AAA games with, but productivity is great! Will probably be getting a 2nd in the near future.

Pros
No bad pixels. Great stand that's easy to adjust. Good color and brightness. No noticeable bleed.

Cons
Poor setup instructions. Nothing to indicate what cable to use. A driver disk with no driver (although didn't need one)

Summary

So far seems like a very good monitor at a decent price. Once I discovered that you needed to use the Display port cable only, then everything was good.

Pros
Awesome screen quality adjustable stand

Cons
dead pixel, same location twice (lower right of screen)

Summary

I am glad i bought the dead pixel warranty had to swap twice, but all of them seem to have a dead pixel at the same location. I still have the dead pixel, but this time it doesn't show up on the black screen which is barely noticeable. I don't notice it on gaming. I am still debating if i should try once more swap to get it perfect...but i am afraid of it being worse.

Pros
Hi resolution = more screen real estate!! Super Bright display, nice not to have a bright power LED staring at you when the monitor is on(this one is a soft green light that is on the side)

Cons
Almost too bright? Arrived with one dead pixel. Buttons are a little wonky, would've liked to see better arrangement of those. Glossy thick bezel

Summary

Absolutely STUNNING display. Went from a 24" 1080 monitor to this and I was taken back by the sheer beauty of the images. It's significantly harder for my GTX 770 to run this panel but that was expected, you don't need to use anti-aliasing in game with this pixel density. 27" is a perfect size for a 1440p monitor. Would have also preferred a slimmer matte bezel, but I almost never look at the bezel because my eyes are all over the magnificent panel!

Pros
Great specs and decent price

Cons
None so far

Summary

Bought a couple of these monitors for my office now and they are really nice. Great quality screens, great color reproduction, and overall excellent performance. None of the monitors we purchased arrived with any dead pixels or any issues.

Pros
Superb colours

Cons
At full price, it's quite an expense

Summary

It's a superb screen, makes a whole difference from my 24" 1080p Samsung screen non-IPS panel.

By: Esquilax1138 2015-04-03 13:54

Pros
Amazing color right out of the box. Excellent stand, fully adjustable height, tilt and rotation, very solid feel to it, screen is not wobbly like the cheaper tilt only ones. Huge amount of screen space, excellent for any kind of editing / productivity software. Gaming at this resolution is super crisp, low input lag for this quality of IPS panel. No dead pixels and no backlight bleed at all.

Cons
I only wish it was bigger! 32" at this 1440p resolution would be ideal.

Summary

Great monitor, been loving it since it arrived. Wanted something nicer than my older 24" TN monitors I was used to, and moving up to this one was well worth it. Just amazing colors with no adjusting needed other than turning the brightness down a little, great solid blacks, white that is actually white... coming from a TN panel to this is a real treat. Has a huge amount of screen real estate, if you use any kind of software like Photoshop or Blender or do movie or music editing, you'll really appreciate the extra room this gives over a 1080p screen. Gaming wise it's excellent, have not seen any image ghosting at all, very low input lag for an IPS monitor, feels very snappy and looks just amazing playing FPS and RPG's with the great color and image sharpness. Been playing Battlefield 4 and even some fighting games and response times are solid, competitive gamers might want the absolute lowest response time of a TN panel but for me the much better image quality this gives it's a great balance. You will need a fairly decent video card to run games on this but my GTX 770 is able to keep a solid frame rate even with all the settings on high, and with the sharpness of the screen can even turn down or off the AA and still have things look great. Came well packaged with a really nice, solid stand, and a display port cable which is the best way to plug this in, all around a great monitor for both work and gaming.
