Pros
Inexpensive, decent quality for the price, easy to setup, works great with zoneminder

Cons
lower fps at max resolution, sometimes images wash out. Not great in low-light situations.

Summary

I purchased two of these to use as motion detection security cameras for our property. I didn't use the dlink software, as I don't use windows/mac products, only Linux. So I can't speak for that. I have both cameras working perfectly under ZoneMinder, and are excellent day-time cameras. Both cameras are capturing detected motion behind glass windows, and work very well. With zoneminder, I experienced issues with the latest dlink firmware (1.05). Downgrading to 1.04 fixed my problems. If you want a good internal day-time camera, this may solve what you're looking for. The FPS isn't the highest - I get 15fps at high resolution, but that's fine for my purposes. Lower resolutions will get you higher FPS, but at a lower resolution. Overall, it's a good camera for the price. It's not weatherproof, so best to keep it indoors, unless you want to try to weatherize it yourself somehow. However if you have it behind a clean and close window, it works great in the daytime. At night, if there's no external light source, you'll get nothing. If there's a nearby streetlight, you may be ok for night viewing, but quality is reduced. At the end of the day, they serve the purpose that I require, and would easily get another one if I needed it.

Pros
Cheap, compact, wireless n

Cons
Utterly useless for looking out a window

Summary

After 4 months I am changing my review. The Camera is utterly useless looking out a window outdoors. The image is completely washed out in daylight and very dark at night (with house and street lights). My Trendnet camera handles both situations much better. While cheap, I will never buy one of these again. Very poor job D-Link.

Pros
Easy Setup, powerful little device.

Cons
No snapshot function on web interface

Summary

This camera is great! I bought it for my parents for Christmas and Dad set it up himself for the most part. I did a little tweaking for the email function. This camera does 640x480 resolution, has a microphone, the only wires are for power. You can view it with dedicated free iphone, ipod, and ipad apps from anywhere. You can also view it over any internet connection with a browser. It can email you based on time or motion detection. You can set the motion detection for any part of the image. The configuration is done through a web interface just like a router. Now I need one!
