Pros
F A S T and reliable at an extremely affordable price

Cons
Packaging could use an update (looks cheap)

Summary

No, this isn't the fastest SSD out there. Not by a long shot. And it's not the most reliable either. But you'll have a hard time finding an SSD at this price point that's better than the Kingston, and it makes a HUGE difference in performance. This unit was used to replace a failed hard drive in a Lenovo where overheating was the problem. From past experiences Kingston SSDs tend to handle high temps quite well. And the upside is that the difference in performance will blow you away - a several-year-old midrange laptop performed better than ever - and better than most new computers - after swapping in this drive. If you haven't dipped your toe in the SSD waters yet give this one a shot!

Pros
Very cheap Fast enough

Cons
None so far

Summary

Got it in sale for less than 120$ taxes and shipping insurance included (free shipping). This is less than 0.50$/gb, which sounds great to me, and I trust Kingston. It was for a mid range laptop and gave it a satisfying boost for the price. Obviously those are sata2 ports so I wasn't expecting extreme speeds (don't or you'll be a bit disappointed). If you have realistic expectations you'll be satisfied. I think it's perfect for anything with only sata2 ports since it will bottleneck any ssd anyway.

Pros
Economical Very fast compared to a HDD

Cons
None

Summary

I got this for an old AM2 computer and it works great. Did a fresh install of Win 7 and since then upgraded to Windows 10. It's a great way to breathe new life into an old computer. I've used a lot of different SSD's and I find this Kingston unit is as good as any of the lower priced drives.

Pros
trusted brand great price

Cons
none

Summary

I have always trusted Kingston products and so far I have not had anything fail in over 10 years. This is the second drive I have and both of them work good in different machines. I would buy one of these again for sure!

Pros
Fast, reliable, and (relatively) cheap

Cons
Not quite yet "dirt" cheap...

Summary

I have three of these running as a RAID 5 array in a Lenovo quad-Xeon ThinkServer TS140, and so far they have performed flawlessly. Just bought this one to replenish my spare - since I had to press my existing spare into service last week, when another workstation's old Seagate bit the dust...

Pros
Fast, easy, quiet, reliable, affordable

Cons
None yet

Summary

This replaced my 120 GB SSD from a few years ago and I am very happy with how well it has been working. Worked perfectly out of the box with Mac OSX Yosemite and has been cruising ever since. Plenty of space for running my OS and all software. Nabbing it on sale for $100 was great too.

Pros
-Fast -Small

Cons
-Odd installation (see review)

Summary

This drive does what is expected of it, and works amazingly well. No issues, has incredibly fast boot times, and to date has yet to disappoint. However, there was one dependency that irked me about this drive. During installation I had a bit of trouble installing the drive properly. It fits in my case's hard drive bay, but I still found some difficulty in its initial installation. The extra piece provided with the product made the installation easier, but it is still something to look out for if you are not expecting it. This drive will fit in a typical hard drive bay, but it will require some minor fiddling if your case is geared towards the use of hard drives specifically (ie an older computer case). I would 100% recommend this product. If you can get it on sale, all the better.

Pros
blazing fast very easy upgrade for such a large performance boost

Cons
none so far

Summary

I have had this drive for 2 months now and the difference from my normal drive is amazing I will never go back to hard drives again

Pros
Very fast

Cons
Did not include brackets to install on older rigs.

Summary

What can I say, it speeds up everything it's unbelievable. Yeah it's only 240GB but it still a lot of space to install all applications and games. The hard drive has been a bottleneck since forever.
